HED Admissions 2025-26: Degree Colleges, UG/IG Programs Open Now

The Higher Education Department (HED) of jammu And  kashmir has  officially opened admissions for the 2025-26 academic session in all  Government Degree Colleges and the University of Jammu (Main & Off-Site Campuses). Students Should apply for Four-Year Undergraduate Programs (FYUGP) and Integrated Postgraduate (IG) Programs, which  have many flexible multiple-exit options. With over 50 major subjects available, students can choose from a wide range of  subjects in which they are intrested

The admission process  for these courses is entirely online, Students must register on the official JK Admission Portal (https://jkadmission.samarth.ac.in) between June 16 and July 7, 2025. After registration, they should submit their college and subject preferences from July 3 to July 9, 2025. The first round of seat allotment  to the students will begin on July 11, 2025, based on merit—CUET scores for CUET-participating colleges and Class 12th marks for non-CUET colleges.  pending seats will be filled later on

 Admission Dates and Merit-Based Allotment Process

The online registration process  is open from June 16 to July 7, 2025. Once registered, candidates  Should carefully select their preferred colleges and major subjects between July 3 and July 9, 2025. The seat allotment process will start on July 11, 2025, and students will be assigned colleges based on their CUET scores (if applicable) or Class 12th marks. For those students who have not  taken CUET, Class 12th performance will be considered for admission into non-CUET colleges. Additionally, any remaining seats after the initial allotment will be filled based on 10+2 merit.
